CLIVE M. DAVIS taught at Syracuse University from 1967-2005. His research focused on sexuality and communication. He was the founding president of the
Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and has been a member of its Board of Directors since 1985. He was first elected to the Board of Directors of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality in 1976 and has served on one or more SSSS committees continuously ever since. He was the Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Sex Research from 1977-87, the President of SSSS in 1984-85, and the Associate Editor of the Annual Review of Sex Research from its inception through 2008. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Sex and Information Council of the United States and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. He co-edited the Handbook of Sexuality-Related Measures (4th edition, 2020).

SID MITCHELL is Associate Professor of Education in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Maine. He performed an important role in the organization of the 30 years of data into SPSS files. Dr. Mitchell assisted in the data analyses, including translating the relevant data and distinguishing patterns and trends across the three decades.

VAL IRELAND is the Manager of Creative Services and Senior Designer at the University of Maine. Her work has garnered numerous graphic design awards throughout her career. The most notable have been national honors including Gold, Silver, Bronze and honorable mentions in the New York Times-sponsored Marketing and Promotion Awards Competition for UMaine summer poster illustrations. Consecutive awards have been garnered for more than a dozen years.
